In 2005, MEDC, a non profit development company purchased several blighted buildings to assemble 1.5 acres prior to groundbreaking in 2006. Completed in 2007, the name of the development refers to a single mother named Angelina who ran the corner grocery during the depression and was referred to by residents of the area as the Saint of 700 South.
This development is mixed-use, consisting of two phases, both 4-stories. One building offers live/work units, for retail or office space on the first floor and living space above. These contemporary condos feature 2-bedroom/2-bath or 3-bedroom/2-bath layouts. There are also 2 bedroom layouts that are town-house style.
It's smaller units start at over 900 square feet, and the largest just over 1,800. Residents will find standard features such as granite countertops and upgraded carpets in many units. The development is in the heart of the city, along TRAX lines, and walking distance to restaurants, venues and various attractions.
